PCMFlash 1.4.8 Update: Honda, China, Toyota, Volvo and PSA Modul

The new PCMFlash 1.4.8 version has been released. This update adds new functions, test support for additional ECUs, improved stability for selected control units and expanded service mode capabilities.

The update affects PCMFlash modules for Honda/Acura, BAIC, Hisun, Tank, Volvo, Toyota/Lexus, Ferrari, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel, Fiat, BYD, Roewe, Chery, JAC, Jetour, Volvo/Renault Trucks and other applications.

Main changes in PCMFlash 1.4.8

PCMFlash 1.4.8 adds new capabilities for ECU reading, writing, direct connection and service mode operation. For several new ECU types, reading, writing, checksum verification and checksum correction are supported.

PCMFlash module changes

Module 13 “Honda/Acura ECUs via K-Line”

Virtual reading has been added to the module.

This is an important addition for specialists working with Honda and Acura vehicles via K-Line, as virtual reading helps obtain the original file for further firmware work.

Module 51 “China ECUs”

Test support has been added for new ECUs:

  • ME17.8.8 used in Hisun ATVs;
  • support is available only via direct connection;
  • MT95.1 used in BAIC hybrid vehicles.

Supported operations:

  • reading;
  • writing;
  • checksum verification;
  • checksum correction.

Stability has also been improved for MT95.1 ECUs used in Tank vehicles.

Newly added item:

  • BAIC 2.0T PHEV (Delphi MT95.1) [RD/WR/CK]

Module 53 “Infineon Tricore Bootloader”

The module now supports password reading for SID807EVO ECUs used in Volvo vehicles.

This expands the module’s capability for service and recovery tasks with SID807EVO control units.

Module 57 “SIMOS 8/10/11/12/PCR2.1 ECUs”

Service mode operation with Simos 12 ECUs has been improved.

This change is aimed at better stability and convenience when working with SIMOS control units.

Module 59 “Renault/Nissan ECUs with UDS Protocol”

Test support has been added for the BED511 ECU.

Module 74 “Toyota/Lexus Generation 3 ECUs”

Support has been added for ECUs used with 1GD-FTV diesel engines in Toyota LC7x vehicles.

Module 77 “Bosch ME9/MED9/EDC7/EDC16/PSG16/TCU Service Mode”

Support has been added for the MED9.6.1 ECU used in Ferrari vehicles.

  • checksum correction.

Module 82 “Bosch SH725XX TCU Service Mode”

The module now supports VGS-NAG3 ECU reboot.

This function is required when cloning ECUs and will be useful for specialists working with transmission control units.

Module 87 “Citroen/Peugeot Delphi DCM6.2/DCM7.1B ECUs”

Full support is now available for DCM7.1B ECUs used in Citroen, Peugeot, Opel and Fiat vehicles.

Newly added items:

  • Citroen/Peugeot 2.0L HDi (DCM7.1B) [RD/WR/CK]
  • Citroen/Peugeot 2.0L HDi EEPROM (DCM7.1B) [RD/WR]

Module 89 “MG1/Denso ECUs for Chinese Vehicles”

Test support has been added for MG1US008 ECUs used in BYD and Roewe vehicles.

  • writing;
  • checksum verification;
  • checksum correction.

Module 92 “Bosch MD1/MG1 Service Mode”

Support has been added for the TC389QP microcontroller used in the PDCU8.0 ECU.

The update also adds support for ECUs based on TC2xx microcontrollers that have been unlocked for service mode operation by third-party bootloaders.

Module 95 “Toyota/Lexus Generation 4 ECUs”

Support has been added for ECUs used with 1GD-FTV diesel engines in Toyota Hiace vehicles.

  • reading;
  • writing.

Module 97 “AECS/LinControl ECUs for Chinese Vehicles”

Support has been added for new ECUs used in Chinese vehicles:

  • G-Tech GT-54 used in Jetour vehicles;
  • AECS FC-54 used in Chery vehicles;
  • AECS FC-60 used in JAC vehicles;
  • test support for LinControl LEC4HE used in Linxys vehicles.

Module 99 “Volvo/Renault Truck EMS 2.3/2.4 ECU Service Mode”

All known EMS2.3 and EMS2.4 ECU variants are now fully supported.

The module is intended for Volvo and Renault trucks in service mode with direct connection to the ECU connector.
