CombiBox is designed for connecting the control unit to the PCMflash loader and the j2534 adapter "on the table" and switching power supply voltages and generating BOOT, CNF1 signals. When used with the Scanmatik 2 (PRO) adapter, the device allows you to generate gpt1 and GPT2 signals necessary for working with modules 53 and 71, as well as with advanced modules.
Power supply:
For CombiBox to work, a stable 12V power supply must be applied. The connector mate is included in the delivery package. You must pay attention to maintaining the polarity when desoldering the power cable. Incorrect power supply is not ALLOWED and may cause the CombiBox or the control unit connected to It to fail. For CombiBox operation and safe programming of control units, it is recommended to use regulated laboratory power supplies with a voltage adjustment range of up to 30 volts and a maximum current of at least 3 amperes.
Connection.
There are 2 connectors on the back of the CombiBox:
J2534-the connector is intended for connecting the adapter (Scanmatik 2 (PRO)
Connector has the following connection scheme:
1-GPT2;
2 — GPT1;
4 — GND;
5 — GND;
6 — CAN-H;
7 — K-LINE;
12 - SELECT BOOT
14 — CAN-L;
15 — L–LINE;
16 — +12V.
DC 12V-the connector is designed for connecting power.
On the front panel of the device there is a DB-15 connector designed for connecting to the ECU using a universal cable. All cable lines have the appropriate marking for their correct connection.
The connector has the following connection scheme:
2-Purple, VPP;
3-Green-red, GPT2;
4-Blue, CNF1;
5 — Red-Power +12V;
7-White, CAN-H;
9-Orange, Key +12V;
10-Grey, BOOT;
11-Black, GND;
12-Yellow-orange, GPT1;
14-Yellow, K-Line;
15-Green, CAN-L.
Controls:
Switch — "POWER", power management. The device has three modes of power supply to the ECU:
"OFF" is turned off, allows you to remove all power and control signals from the DB-15 connector.
"ON" is turned on, supplies power to the VECU and VKEY terminals, as well as to the control outputs, depending on the selected tactics of the BOOT switch.
"AUTO" automatic management, in this mode, power management is performed by the PCMflash loader.
Switch "Boot SW", control of the BOOT signal:
"OFF" is disabled, allows you to remove all control signals from the DB-15 connector;
"ON" is enabled, pulls the BOOT to the signal minus;
"AUTO" automatic control, in this mode, simultaneous control of signals is performed by the PCMflash loader.
Switch "CNF1", control of the CNF1 signal (3.3 volts):
"OFF" is off, allows you to remove all control signals from the DB-15 connector;
"ON" is on, pulls CNF1 to +3.3 volts;
"AUTO" automatic control, in this mode, simultaneous control of signals is performed by the PCMflash loader.
The device has built-in current-limiting resistors on the signal lines:
"BOOT" — 1 kOhm;
"CNF1" — 510 Ohms;
The load on the "CAN" bus is 120 Ohms.
Indicators:
"Power IN" Led indicates the presence of a supply voltage;
The "Power OUT" led indicates the presence of voltage on the ECU;
The "Boot ON" led indicates that the BOOT signal has been tightened;
The "CNF1 ON" led indicates that the CNF1 signal is being tightened.
