Emulator additional oxygen sensor is designed to emulate the signal 'after catalyst' oxygen sensor (DK, OS – Oxygen Sensor) and is an improved version of the device B1S1OS. The emulator provides the complete replacement of the signal DK additional staff responsible for monitoring operation of the catalyst in case of its inefficient operation, to monitor the health of the oxygen sensors of the system. The device emulates a additional DC, analyzing the signal on the main (first B1S1) or second (B1S2), the zirconium dioxide 1 volt DC. The device emulates signals of the same, 1 volt sensors based on Zirconia used for the diagnosis of the catalytic Converter (B1S2). This escapology sensor is common, and in some cases different from the 'masses' of the car minus signal, for matching signal levels, the device is applied to the auxiliary input that determines the level of the signal minus of the sensor and matching it output signal. Thus, this device is more versatile than B1S1OS and it can be used on cars with different levels of signal 'mass' of the oxygen sensors.

The device is recommended for installation on additional (catalyst) oxygen sensor, in the case where the vehicle is fitted with front A/FR sensor, this requires running additional sensor in the environment of exhaust gases, but without catalyst. This recommendation stems from the fact that the devices B1S1AFRS discontinued because of their imperfections.

Now, in more modern cars were increasingly used broadband sensors lean, with five or more contacts. The principles of operation of these sensors is different, so to work with them to apply a variant of the device B1S1LAF sensor lean mixture.
